IMAGINE: Witnessing Loki dying

     "Look at him! The mighty Thor...with all your strength...what good does it do you now?!" Loki taunts to his and your brother, Thor, as they're on the Bifrost Bridge in Asgard. Loki is laying on the bridge, Thor's Mjølnir immobilizing him. You kneel beside him, your eyes filled with tears. Thor stands on the bridge, looking panicked. Loki is going to use the Bifrost Portal to destroy the ice planet Jotunheim. While you're close with both of your brothers, Loki and you are near inseparable—which is why he's broken your heart with all the evil acts he's been doing. Loki struggles against the weight of the Mjølnir. "Lie still, lie still." You murmur, putting a gentle hand on his shoulder. Loki ignores you. "Do you hear me, brother?! There is nothing you can do!" He shouts. Suddenly the Mjølnir flies through the air to Thor. Thor grips it and starts smashing the bridge. You help Loki sit up as you both watch Thor smash the bridge, grunting. "What are you doing?!" You exclaim. Then it hits you. He's trying to stop the portal. "If you destroy the bridge, you'll never see Jane again!" Loki screams. Your heart drops. "Thor, no!" You scream. You know what Jane means to Thor. Loki shakily stands. You wrap an arm around his waist, supporting him up. He holds on to you. "No." He gasps, quickly moving forward, his staff in hand. "Loki, wait!" You exclaim as he takes off running. You chase after him just as you hear Thor cry, "Forgive me, Jane!" He hits the bridge one more time. It explodes, sending Thor, Loki, and you flying backwards. You scream as you fly through the air. The explosion ripples through Asgard. You land on part of the bridge that's still intact. You groan and grimace, rolling onto your side. Your eyes widen and you gasp. Your brothers! You jump to your feet and a wave of dizziness hits you. You close your eyes and then slowly open them. You spot your father, Odin, at the end of the bridge. "Father!" You scream, dashing towards him. You crash to your knees beside him. He's holding onto Thor, who's holding on to Loki's staff. Loki is grasping onto the staff. "Hold on!" You plead, getting down onto your stomach and reaching for Loki. "I could have done it, father. I could have done it! For you! For all of us!" Loki exclaims, his voice cracking. Thor groans, trying to pull Loki up. "No, Loki." Your father says softly. Loki gets a strange, sad look in his eyes. You don't like it. "Loki, hold on!" You scream, tears streaming down your cheeks. "Hold on!" You sob. He slowly looks at you and tears well in his beautiful green eyes. "I love you, Y/N. I always will." He whispers, his voice cracking. "I love you, Loki." You weep. His hand loosens on his staff. "Loki, no." Thor pleads. "Don't let go!" You exclaim. His hand releases the staff. "Noooooooooooo!" Thor and you scream in a sob. Your hand reaches out into the nothingness as you watch Loki fall into the empty void. Odin helps Thor onto the bridge. "Y/N, come." Odin says softly. "I can't leave him!" You scream. You suddenly push yourself up and start to lunge off the bridge. "Y/N, no!" Thor screams, grabbing you before you can jump. "Let me go! Let me go! Loki needs me! I can't let him be alone!" You sob, fighting against Thor. Odin grabs on to you, holding you tightly, as he and Thor drag you away from the edge of the bridge as you cry. Thor pulls your back against his chest, holding you around the waist and shoulders to keep you from moving. Defeated, you rest against your older brother, weeping loudly with grief. Thor rests his head against yours, whispering gentle words of comfort as he tries to keep his voice even. Soon he buries his face in your hair and cries softly. [THE END] I hope you liked it!
