IMAGINE: Meeting Ville

You park your rental car on the side of the street. You get out and start to walk through the cute little neighborhood of Pikku Huopalahti in Helsinki, Finland. Your best friend, who moved to Finland last year, flew you out so you can spend a couple of weeks with her in Helsinki. She's lives in the Pikku Huopalahti neighborhood. You pull out your phone to go back to the text to where she told you where she lives. You read the addresses as you walk along the street, searching for hers. When you find hers, you smile. You look up at the house and your eyebrows raise. "Whoa. That's bigger than I expected." You murmur. You walk to her front porch and ring the doorbell. A long minute goes by until the door swings open. A man stands at the door, staring at you in surprise. Your eyes widen. He looks so familiar. "Uh, is Lydia here?" You ask. His eyebrows draw. "Lydia? I'm sorry, there's no one here at this residence with the name of Lydia." "What?" You gasp. You start to shake your head. "No, no, this is her address. She gave it to me." You stammer. The man grimaces. "I'm sorry, but she doesn't live here." Your shoulders drop. "Great." You sigh. "Do-do you know anyone around here with the name of Lydia Jenkins?" "Uhhh, I don't-I don't really know. I go on tour so I'm not home a lot." You squint at him. "You go on tour?" He smiles and nods. "Yeah, I'm a singer." Your eyebrows raise. "Really? What's your name?" "Ville Valo." "What?!" You laugh in surprise. Ville grins. "You've heard of me?" "Yeah! I'm pretty sure most everyone has heard of you." He nods to you. "What's your name?" "L/N. Y/N L/N." He holds out his hand and you shake it. "Nice to meet you, Y/N." "Likewise." You smile. He crosses his arms. "So...you've lost your friend." He points out. You groan. "I don't understand. She gave me her address and everything." You grumble. Ville steps out of his house and shuts the door behind him. "Well maybe her finger slipped while she was typing. She has to live close to here, yes?" You nod. "I know she lives in this neighborhood because she raves about it every chance she gets." "Why don't you try calling her?" He suggests. "Oh, good idea." You say, pulling out your phone. You dial her number and wait. After a few rings, it goes into her voicemail. "She didn't pick up." You sigh, sliding the phone into your back pocket. Ville puts his hand on the small of your back and leads you down his front steps. "Well, let's go to these next houses and see if one of them is hers." You look up at him, smiling. "Really?" You ask, kind of in shock. He smiles back. "Of course." After ten minutes of knocking on doors, looking for Lydia, you still haven't found her house. "Let's check the house across the street." Ville says. "Okay." You huff. "We'll find your friend, Y/N. I know we will." He encourages. You offer him a weak smile. "Thanks." You whisper. You knock on the door, praying Lydia will open it. You hold your breath as you hear footsteps coming near the door. You absentmindedly grab onto Ville's hand. The door swings open. "Lydia!" You exclaim. "You're here!" She squeals, pulling you into her arms. "I've been looking for your house everywhere!" She pulls you back and stares at you. "Why? I gave you my address." You look at Ville and he smiles at you. "Um, yeah, that was the wrong address." You explain. "Oh no, you're kidding!" She gasps. You shake your head. "I knocked on his door." You say, indicating with your head to Ville. Lydia looks at Ville and her jaw drops. "Ville Vano?!" She exclaims. "In the flesh." He answers. "He's your across the street neighbor." You answer. She looks at you in shock and then back at him. "Oh my." She whispers. You turn around to face Ville. "Thank you so much for helping me find her. You have no idea how much I appreciate it." You say softly. He smiles flirtatiously at you. "You're welcome. And hey, anytime you lose something, just come to me. I'll help you find it." He murmurs. You chuckle. "I'll keep that in mind, thanks." "I'll see you around, okay?" You nod. "Bye." You whisper. You watch him as he walks away from Lydia's house. Before he crosses the street, he looks at you and smiles. [THE END] I hope you liked it!
